Manchester United suffer setback as coach describes star target 'nontransferable'

Manchester United's pursuit of former star C. Ronaldo may have hit another stumbling block, after new Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane described the Portuguese as the soul of the club.

Manchester United boss Van Gaal has once raised hope of resigning the Portuguese, but  that may not happen anytime soon.

Zidane speaking ahead of his first match in charge against Deportivo, said:

"Cristiano is more than non-transferable.

"He is the soul of the team. He's going nowhere."
