Is Mane pushing a United move with this?

Southampton striker  Sadio Mane was left out if the Saint's first game of the year by an angry Ronald Koeman for turning up two hours late for a team meeting.

Ahead of their first match of the year against Norwich, the Senegalese arrived late for the pre-match meeting and was dropped and his team went on to lose the match 1-0.

Manager Ronald Koeman has slammed the player for disrespecting the club and his fellow players. He was meant to start the game, the manager revealed. This is not the first time Mane would be disciplined for similar offense as he turned up late for a pre-match meeting last season for a match against Liverpool.

"We had a different line-up for the game. He was one of the eleven players to start, but we have rules in the team. He has made a big mistake.

"He came two hours late to our last meeting. That’s impossible. Everyone knows that we have sanctions and you don’t start.

"I don’t understand the player who is coming late to the last meeting. My message to him on Thursday was I think he wasn’t really focussed and concentrated."

All these may be pointing to the fact that the player wants to leave.

United have been a long term and keen admirer of the Senegalese forward. With United manager Van Gaal opening up recently that his team needs a striker, Mane could be a big one in the picture.
