Memphis Depay redeems himself with spectacular U-21 display

The Dutch winger has come under a lot of criticism for his recent performances, especially against Chelsea and Stoke.

In both games, he played a role in assisting the opposition in scoring.

This must have prompted Van Gaal to make him available for the U-21 team.

The player put in a five star performance as the U-21 team demolished their Norwich counterpart 7-0, with Depay assisting three of the goals.

He started the game on the left wing, and put in skilful and energetic performance throughout the ninety minutes.

The match would boost his morale and help lift his confidence, especially after being criticised by some sections of the fans for Chelsea's late equaliser.
