The Dutchman can finally lose his job if United lose to Shrewsbury on Monday according to Daily Star.

United have lost their last two games, and the FA cup remains United's most viable way of winning a title this season. A defeat to Shrewsbury will mean United losing three straight matches to seemingly far lesser oppositions.

Van Gaal faces a season deciding seven days. United face Shrewsbury on Monday, host Midtjylland on Thursday with the primary aim of overturning the 2-1 defeat suffered in Denmark before hosting title chasing Arsenal on Sunday.

These three matches are must win if Van Gaal hopes to keep his position as United manager.
