Revealed: Manchester United made January bid for this star striker

Manchester United made contact with Inter Milan with regards to buying captain and striker Mauro Icardi during the January transfer window.

The player himself confirmed that United came calling, but he turned down the offer.

When asked about Manchester United's interest, he replied:

"I heard something, but I want to stay at Inter."

The 22 year old has not intention of leaving Inter Milan soon, and will most likely snub United if they come again.

"My answer will always be the same.  I want to stay here.

‘If Manchester try again, it will not be the first club or the last that I refuse. I feel good in Milan and I will not leave."

The striker has scored ten (10) goals on twenty (20) league appearances for Milan, and it will take an extraordinary bid and deal to lure the Argentine from Italy.
