Official: 13 Manchester United players injured including Wayne Rooney

Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal has just confirmed that the team is missing the services of thirteen (13) players including the skipper Wayne Rooney, who seems to be the latest addition.

The England captain didn't travel with the squad to face Midtjylland due to an ankle injury. Young left back Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will also miss the tie due to illness.

Speaking ahead of the tie, the United manager said:

"We have 13 players injured and Wayne Rooney is one of them. Everybody can be injured and also the captain can be injured.

Speaking on when the United skipper will be back, he said:

"You can never say [how long he could be out for]. He has a knee problem so we must wait and see."

The Dutchman also confirmed that Italian Darmian is out with a dislocated shoulder, but it may not be that worse.

"Darmian has a dislocated shoulder. It's not the heaviest type so we are lucky, but he's injured  and out"

He also confirmed the Borthwick-Jackson is out.

Maroune Fellaini is also out injured, Van Gaal said:

"He has a muscle problem because he has played a lot of matches in a row."
