Wayne Rooney out for two months

Manchester United have suffered what looks like their biggest injury blow of the season, as the United captain may be out for close to two months.

The striker did not travel with the United squad to Denmark, for the Europa League tie with FC Midtjylland.

He has been in fine form for United of late scoring seven goals in his last nine matches.

While there is no official statement yet from United or the player, speculation is that the player is down with knee ligament injury.

This leaves United with only Anthony Martial as the senior striker in the squad and teenager Will Keane as  reserve.
