José Mourinho orders the sale of two United stars ahead of his arrival

The Portuguese tactician is believed to be in advance talks with United about taking over from Van Gaal in the summer.

And he has also given his terms and expectations. According to Daily Mail he has told United vice chairman to sell the duo of Juan Mata and Maroune Fellaini.

Mata and Mourinho worked together at Chelsea, and it was the Portuguese tactician that ordered his sale to United. The pair may once again reunite at Old Trafford, but Mourinho may not want the Spanish playmaker in his new United side.

Maroune Fellaini has been under intense pressure from the Old Trafford fans for his inconsistent performances, though the midfielder seem to have stepped up a little going by his last two matches for United against Chelsea and Stoke.

Mourinho is known to have preference for physical players with strength and power, and both players may not just fit into his plans.

It remains to be seen if Mourinho will eventually take over as United manager.
