The former Manchester United defender has hailed Jesse Lingard for some exceptional qualities he possesses.
The United winger was sharp and lively against City, despite playing from a slightly unfamiliar central role.
Ferdinand praised the player for his movement of the ball, which he believed is not common with a lot if young upcoming players. He tweeted this during the game.
Lingard.....proper footballer. Does what most kids these days don't appreciate....intelligent movement off the ball.
