United have identified PSG star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic as their main target in the summer, according to Daily Star.
The Swedish striker will be a free agent at the end of the season, and such United won't have to pay any transfer fee.
According to the report, United are wiling to offer the player a deal of £250,000 per week which will make him one of the top earners at the club.
Arsenal and Chelsea are also believed to be interested in the 34 year old, but the prospect of working with former manager José Mourinho at Old Trafford is a huge plus for United.
Mourinho is most likely going to bring new forwards to United if appointed.
United have survived this season based on the brilliance of the academy players and the Portuguese would want more established presence in United's attack.
