Another great day in the office. Made some great saves one in the first half, and another from Aguero in the second.
Darmian: 6.5
Provided more stability at the right back compared to Varela. Was calmed, and composed against Sterling and Silva. Had a tough time at left back against Navas when he made the switch.
Smalling: 8
Lucky not to have been sent off late on. Did a good job on Aguero and Bony. Organized the defense well. Strong and committed.
Blind: 7
A more reassuring performance from the Dutchman. Made a couple of on the air blocks, and was Strong against Aguero and other City attackers. He also helped in bringing out the ball from the defence.
Rojo: 7
Despite his tiredness and many games since returning in a short time, he put in an almost perfect performance on his birthday. Always wiling to help on the attack.
Schneiderlin: 7
A silent but highly effective performance from the Frenchman. Was a more than perfect replacement for Fellaini.
Carrick: 7
A much improved outing from the Englishman. He was calm and composed, provided an effective cover for the back four. Sprayed the passes well.
Lingard: 6.5
Had an all round effect on the game. Helped out on the attack, made a good number of nice moves off the ball.
Mata: 6
Provided the all important assist for Rashford's goal. Other wise he didn't do much.
Martial: 7
Typical Martial performance. Made a lot if runs and dribbles, but his final passes and decisiona let him down on a number of occasions.
Rashford: 7.5
Another stellar performance from the youngster. Kept his cool for his goal, took Demichelis to the cleaners, could have won a penalty for United, but the referee waved it aside. Another promising performance.
Substitutes
Valencia: 6
Came on for Rojo and continued where Darmian had stopped. Did a good job In stopping Clichy from having free movement on the flanks.
Schweinsteiger: 5
Came on and calmed things. Didn't have enormous impact on the game.
Fosu-Mensah: 5
Came on too late. Just to replace injured Darmian.
