Manchester United and Liverpool facing UEFA charges after Old Trafford fracas

Both teams have been charged by UEFA for crowd disturbances and other offenses.

During the return leg at Old Trafford, sits were thrown by supporters and flares were lit. This has led to the arrest of five men.

United had earlier escaped sanction after some section of their fans made offensive chants regarding the Hillsborough disaster at Anfield.

But now both teams have been charged for fans related troubles, while Liverpool faces an extra charge of  illicit chants and late kick off.
