Manchester United produced a close to perfect performance to defeat Stoke at Old Trafford. Two goals in the first half set the tone for a perfect victory.
Lingard, Martial and Wayne Rooney got the goals for Van Gaal's side. United have now scored six goals in their last two matches, and the confidence is gradually coming back.
Manager Van Gaal is hoping this would be the turning point for United this season.
Speaking to MUTV after the game, he said:
"It could be a turning point but you never know.
"It’s better to score goals like this and better for the manager on the bench because I could change players to give others some minutes."
Next for United is a trip to Stanford Bridge to face champions Chelsea. United must keep up the momentum to be able to fight for a top four finish.
