Michael Owen believes Manchester United are not totally out of the title race.
United seem to have found their rhythm over the last two games, and they face Chelsea next this Sunday.
United have scored six goals in their last two matches, and the United attackers look to have found a new lease of form.
While Owen is not fully convinced United have turned the corner, he thinks the gap between United and teams above them is one that can still be successfully closed down.
Writing for Colossus Bets, the former United striker wrote:
“Some people may think Manchester United have turned a corner with three-goal defeats of Derby in the FA Cup and at home to Stoke earlier in the week, but I wouldn’t be in a rush to read too much into those results.
“But I suppose the fact remains that they are only seven points off City in second, and five behind Tottenham and Arsenal , so perhaps they are not totally out of the title reckoning. As bizarre as that sounds.”
A victory for United over Chelsea at the Bridge will surely put United into reckoning for the top four and maybe the title.
