Over the last 48 hours, there's been reports that Spanish Champions Barcelona are preparing a bid for the Manchester United playmaker.
It's the transfer period and such news and rumors should not be new to football fans.
Mata scored in United's 3-1 win over Derby, and from all indications, the player is happy at United.
Here are two proofs that the player won't be leaving this January.
First Spanish football expert Guillem Balague has rubbished the claims. In a tweet some minutes ago, the Skysport pundit described the news as 'Rubbish of the day'
'Rubbish story of the day: the rumours about Mata. He is staying put, doesn't want to go, United don't want to sell at all.

Secondly, Mata has a blog he updates every Monday. And he has just posted the post for the week.
Major summary of the post, is a look into United's two games against Stoke and Chelsea, and the player wants to win all United's seven matches in February.
For a player already looking unto United next few games in February, a move away from United is not on his mind.
Here is a link to Mata's post for the week.
A move in the Summer looks more likely though, as things could have changed before then. But for now, a move is highly unlikely.
