'Rashford's the best young player in Britain'

Former Aston Villa, Liverpool and Wales striker Dean Saunders has described the Manchester United youngster as the 'best young player on Britain.'

Rashford made a record setting debut for England against Wales, as he came of the bench to become the youngest player to feature for The Three Lions at an European Championship. He snatched Wayne Rooney's record by four days.

The 18 year old who made his debut for United in February has enjoyed a meteoric rise, and Saunders commended Roy Hodgson for bringing him on against Wales.

Speaking to the BBC after England's 2-1 victory over Wales, the former Wales striker said:

“The two players he put on are two of the best strikers in the best league in the world- (Daniel) Sturridge and (Jamie) Vardy, who are on fire.

"Rashford’s the best young player in Britain at the minute, and he’s been able to bring him on as well."

Rashford came on in the 73rd minute, and put in a decent cameo
performance.

He will be hoping for more playing time as England progresses in the competition.
