Three things United must do to defeat Chelsea

Chelsea Versus Manchester United will always be a top Premier League game irrespective of the positions of both team.

This weekend, Manchester United need a decent result if not a victory at the Bridge, to keep the top four hopes alive. For Chelsea, the hopes of qualifying for Europe is almost over, but there is pride to play for. Redlyunited looks at three things United must do, to aim at a victory.

1.Mata, Martial and Rooney must combine well:

United's attack have looked good over the last two matches, and this newly discovered form will be put to stern test by the Chelsea defence.

For United to get something out of the game, this trio must be on top of their game against the Blues.

Martial carries more of the attacking threat for United, and will be against the most weakest link of the Chelsea defence. (At least judging by his overall performance this season).

It is therefore important that Martial gets into the box with the ball or put in a lot of deadly balls for the likes of Rooney and Mata to attack.

2. Sniff out the ball and possession from the Chelsea attackers.

One of United's greatest assets and strength this season is their ability to kept the ball.

Against Chelsea at the Bridge, United must be conservative with the ball, and keep it away from the likes of Fabregas, Hazard, Pedro and Oscar.

These players carries most of the attacking threat for the Blues, and the lesser possession they have, the more comfortable United will be. Hence the likes of Carrick and Fellaini must be at their best, keep possession tightly and be effective of the ball.

3. Technically and physically Frustrate Diego Costa

The Brazilian born striker is known to be hot tempered and feisty. The United defence must not be mean on the striker.

Smalling and Co. must give him a hard day both physically and tactically so he doesn't get into top gear. In doing so though, they've got to be careful to avoid unnecessary cards
