Manchester united boss may sign a left back in January. Injury to first choice left back Luke Shaw is making Van Gaal considering making a move.
Shaw is expected to be out for a major part of the season after undergoing an operation for a broken leg in United's Champions League defeat at PSV.
His injury have left United with Argentine Marcos Rojo and Dalley Blind as United's choice for the position.
"I was convinced Luke would have a very good season and because of that I didn't buy a second player for left-back. Maybe we have to buy a left-back in January." Van Gaal said.
