Manchester United 2-0 West Brom: Match Report

Manchester United converted possession to goals as the Old Trafford were in control for most of the games. It was the first time Unites will be scoring more than one goal in their last five matches.
It was a victory that came in similar fashion, to the Van Gaal philosophy if keeping the ball. And the impatient Old Trafford can't help but to cry out the usual "attack, attack" at some time of the game.

A quiet first half with only one shot on  target means the Old Trafford faithfuls were hoping the past won't repeat itself.  And yes it didn't.

The second half housed all what the United fans needed.
A well, calm and composed finish from Lingard was what United needed to break the deadlock in the 52nd minute. The youngster who joined United at seven couldn't have asked for a more fulfilling week. He provided the all important assist for Wayne Rooney in the Champions League during the week and opened scoring for United at Old Trafford three days later.

It was a match for youngsters as 18-year-old Cameron Borthwick-Jackson came on for his debut, replacing already booked Marcos Rojo.

United were not done as a late into the game, Anthony Martial was fouled in the box  by
McAuley, who was rightfully sent off.
Juan Mata dispatched the resulting penalty to give United a comfortable victory
