Manchester United Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes is edging towards a move away from Old Trafford.
The former Barcelona keeper was a surprise signing to some United fans, but has fallen out with manager Van Gaal.
Both men had a nice working relationship at Barcelona, but the story took the opposite directon, when the two met again at United.
Van Gaal relegated the Spaniard to the junior team, and recently unconfirmed report has it that Van Gaal has banned Valdes from training at all or meeting first team players at the Carrington training ground.
But according to Goal.com the Spaniard may be returning to Spain with former city rivals Espanyol in January.
According to the report, he has held advance talk with the Spanish club and a January move is likely.
