Manchester United trio return from injury in U-21 clash

The injured trio of Phil Jones, Ashley Young and Cameron Brothwick-Jackson made their return to footballing action in the United's U-21 1-1 draw with their Chelsea counterpart.

Left back Borthwick-Jackson suffered a shoulder injury and have not featured for the team since February, while the duo of Young and Jones have been out since January.

Jones played for about 75 minutes before been substituted,  while Young and Borthwick-Jackson player the entire 90 minutes.

Phil Jones showed lack of match fitness during his stay on the pitch.  Young and Borthwick-Jackson impressed.

Van Gaal and his assistant Ryan Giggs were present at the match.

United had to come from behind through captain James Weir to snatch a valuable one point via his goal in the 61st minute after the Chelsea team took the lead in the first half.
