Three things super agent Jorge Mendes could have done in Manchester this week

Jorge Mendes is one of the most powerful agents in world football. Every of his move and word are thoroughly analysed.

He is the agent of José Mourinho, Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodriguez, David De Gea, Renato Sanches and a host of other top players and coaches.

He has had a nice working relationship with United, helping them secure the services of Radamel Falcao and Angel Di Maria two seasons ago.

Manchester Evening News reported that the Portuguese arrived in Manchester on Tuesday night. He met with Salford City player and owner ahead of their Northern Premier League Play Off semifinal against Ashton United on Tuesday evening.

However other than his meeting with the Salford team, there have been rumors of the Portuguese trying to broker other moves for his agents.

Redlyunited looks at three possible deals Mendes could have worked in while at Manchester.

1. José Mourinho to United

The former Chelsea manager is the favorite to replace Van Gaal in
any event of a managerial change at Old Trafford. There have been several news and reports that a deal has been agreed and a confirmation is imminent.

United over the week were however liked with PSG manager Laurent Blanc. Which could further complicate things at Mourinho.

Mendes could have used his short time at Manchester to further sort out the Mourinho to Manchester move.

2. Renato Sanches to United

The Benfica midfielder has been linked to United over the last few months, but news of a move has gathered much momentum over the last days.

A fee in the region if €60m has been quoted for the player.

Benfica president has reportedly travel to England to discuss the move.

Mendes presence in Manchester could also be to aid the move.

3. Manuel Pellegrini's move to Valencia

According to the Express, this was the main reason why Mendes was in Manchester.

The Manchester City manager would be replaced by Pep Guardiola in the summer, and the City boss is the favorite to take over at Garry Neville's former club Valencia.

The Chilean is open to a move back to Spain and that may be one of the reason for Mendes visit.

Mendes is a friend of Valencia's owner, Peter Lim, who is also the co-owner  Salford City FC.

The pair were pictured together raising the question of a possible move to Valencia for Pellegrini.
