Confirmed: James Rodriguez move to Manchester United depends on these three people

The Colombian is believed to be unhappy at the Spanish club, and is willing to seek a move away if an opportunity present itself.

The player snubbed United for  Madrid after his World Cup exploits in 2014, for £63m from French side Monaco.

He may still however end up at the Theatre of Dreams.

His situation at Madrid have attracted interest of clubs like United and Chelsea.

And with the possibility of his former boss José Mourinho taking over at United, the pair could reunite at United.

Madrid have reportedly placed a £60m price tag on the player.

But his mum (Pilar Rubio) has opened up that the  final decision to leave the capital club rests on the player, his agent and club president: Florentino perez.

I don't get involved" [with his footballing future]. She said via Express.

"His transfer situation has always been handed with reservation.

"It is a decision that will taken between Madrid president Perez, James and his agent.

"He has to play the same and give the same effort no matter what shirt or boots he wears."
