Club to offer Manchester United target new improved deal to prevent Old Trafford switch

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a new deal for manager Mauricio Pochettino  that will keep him away from the reach of suitors like Manchester United, while securing him on a long term basis.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is a good negotiator and  wants to make the Argentine the highest paid manager in the club's history.

The Argentine tactician still has three years left on his current deal of £2m per year, but the club is ready to up the pay and prolong the contract period. According to Daily Mail.

Pochettino has transformed the club into a title challenging team in less than two seasons, and Spurs are almost guaranteed of Champions League football next season.

He has been praised for his belief and development of youngsters like Kane, Ali and others.

Report has it that the club's top men met during the international break to discuss Pochettino's future and when is the right time to offer him the new deal.

With the Spurs manager flying high and United in need of Van Gaal's replacement, there  have been news that the Argentine's name is been rumoured around Old Trafford.

Some of the United decision makers may seem to favor him compared to José Mourinho for many reasons.

Hence Spurs want to keep their man from any move away from White Hart Lane.
