Villa have not beaten United in a Premier League game at
Villa Park for twenty (20) years.
Villa’s last home victory against United in the Premier
League came in 1992, premier League’s inaugural season.
Both teams won 1-0 on the opening weekend of this Premier
League season.
Last season United drew 1-1 at Villa, that one point is the
only point Villa have taken off United in their last nine meetings.
United have also benefitted from own goals than any other
team in the Premier League with 63 own goals.
Between 2003 – 2008, United defeated Villa on 11 consecutive
meetings.
Nani, Ronaldo and
Fletcher are the three Manchester United players to have been sent off against
Villa in the Premier League.
Robin Van Persie is the only United player to have scored a
Premier League hat-trick for United against Aston Villa.
No other player has scored more goals for United against
Aston Villa than Wayne Rooney. He has scored 14 goals against them.
Martin O’Neil led Villa to their first victory at Old Trafford in twenty six (26) years in December 2009
