Picture: David De Gea sets new Manchester United record

The Manchester United goalkeeper has set a new club record by  being the first United player to win the  Manchester United's Player of the Year three consecutive times.

The Spaniard has been in fine form for United this season, and has kept a good number of clean sheets.

He picked up the award on Monday night at the club's award dinner.

Speaking after winning the prestigious 2016 Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, he said:

"It's difficult to say something, to win three years in a row is amazing, I'm really happy."

"It's an honour and I want to say thank you to everyone. I think we have some of the best fans in the world - thank you to everyone.

"I think everyone in the dressing room is important and now we have something important to win at Wembley. If we win the FA Cup, then it will be a good season."

Yea, Dave.

Winning the FA Cup will be a good reward for all your fantastic and spectacular saves this season.

Congrats Dave.
