The former Manchester United assistant manager has given his thoughts on José Mourinho becoming United's next manager.
The Portuguese is the favorite to replace Van Gaal, even though the United board appears divided on the decision of who to replace the Dutchman.
Queiroz, who was Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant for four seasons and is a former Madrid manager believes United and José will make a perfect match.
"I cannot say if Jose Mourinho is on his way to Manchester United." He told France Football via Redcity
"But I can say that any crossroads between a big club and Jose Mourinho is a logical and natural meeting point."
The general belief is that Van Gaal will keep his job if United make the top four and win the FA Cup. It remains to be seen if that will happen.
