The Manchester United playmaker has spoken of his believe that United can still make the top four this season.
United are currently fifth on the table, four points behind fourth place Manchester City with a game in hand.
Mata has stated two things United must look out for to make the top four.
"We know that Manchester City and Arsenal have to face each other so maybe then we’ll have the chance." He told Manchester Evening News.
That will give United a chance, but Arsenal must either draw or defeat City to give United a chance. (Checkout two of three things that must happen for United to make top four).
"But first we have to win our games and we are focused on that.
"If we don’t win, it’s useless." He added.
United face Norwich, West Ham and Bournemouth in their remaining three games.
United must get the maximum nine points and hope result elsewhere favour them to stand a chance of sneaking into the top four.
