Manchester United injury update: Shaw, Blind and Rafael could be back soon

Luke Shaw
Manchester United injury crises may not look too bad, as four of its injured players could to be back in the team.
Defenders Luke Shaw and Rafael were injured in the F.A cup tie against Yeovil Town. The injury to Shaw isn’t a serious one, and he could be back in time to face Southampton. Rafael suffered a broken cheek bone in the match.  He’s had a successful operation on Tuesday, and posted on his Instagram page that he should be back in training on Friday, giving him a slight chance of playing or making the bench for the match against Southampton.

Another player that has been out for a long time, but could be in line to make a return against
Southampton is midfielder Daley Bind. The Dutch midfielder has been out of the team since November, after injuring his knee on international duty. He returned to training around the Christmas period and should now be fit enough for first team duty.

Marcos Rojo is another player that is expected to be back soon. The defender is back in training and manager Van Gaal confirmed this week, that both Rojo and Blind are coming to full fitness, giving him a chance of featuring in the Southampton game.

Ander Herrera and Angel Di Maria both marked their return to the team with goals that helped United defeat Yeovil and qualify for the fourth round of the F.A Cup. And both players would be wiling for a longer and injury free run in the team.

On the down side, wingers turned full back Ashley Young and Antonio Valencia are injured and out of the team. Young suffered a hamstring injury in the game against Stoke, and is expected to be out for around six weeks. Maroune Fellaini is still out, and he’s expected time of return is not yet known.  Currently the trio are United’s injured players.
