The 2014/2015 season has come and gone. For Manchester United
fans, it was a season of many highs and lows. But the team got its ultimate
target: a Champions league spot, even though the team will have to get into the
competition through the qualifiers.
Last season, United’s preseason went on fine, with the team
winning most of its games but the team couldn’t translate that form into the season
as fast as they would. With inconsistent displays and results being the team’s
hallmark at the beginning of the season.
The pre-season is a tour of America where the team will face
Club America first before squaring up against San Jose Earthquakes.
The team will then end the pre-season with mouth-watering ties
against this season Champions finalist Barcelona at Levi’s stadium in San Francisco
and French champions Paris Saint Germain at Soldier Field in Chicago.
Last year United had their pre-season in America, where it
played Real Madrid in front of the biggest ever crowd for a football game in
the country, when about 109,000 watched the game in Ann Arbor’s big house stadium. The team also won the
International Champions Cup on that tour defeating Liverpool 3 – 1 in the finals.
